Pope Benedict at the Vatican Grotto

The following comes from H20 News via Gloria TV:

On the commemoration of All Soul's Day, November 2, Benedict XVI visited the Vatican Grotto to pray at the tombs of Saint Peter and other Pontiffs.

The event is repeated every year. The Vatican Grotto extends under part of the central nave of the Basilica of Saint Peter, three meters below the actual pavement, from the major altar until approximately half of the nave; it forms a true underground church that occupies the space between the current pavement of the Basilica and the one of the Ancient Constantine Basilica of the 4th century.
