Psalm 148

Praise the Lord! Praise the Lord from the heavens; praise him in the heights!

Praise him, all his angels; praise him, all his host!

Praise him, sun and moon; praise him, all you shining stars!

Praise him, you highest heavens, and you waters above the heavens!

Let them praise the name of the Lord, for he commanded and they were created.

He established them forever and ever; he fixed their bounds, which cannot be passed.

Praise the Lord from the earth, you sea monsters and all deeps,

fire and hail, snow and frost, stormy wind fulfilling his command!

Mountains and all hills, fruit trees and all cedars!

Wild animals and all cattle, creeping things and flying birds!

Kings of the earth and all peoples, princes and all rulers of the earth!

Young men and women alike, old and young together!

Let them praise the name of the Lord, for his name alone is exalted; his glory is above earth and heaven.

He has raised up a horn for his people, praise for all his faithful, for the people of Israel who are close to him. Praise the Lord!

Northern Lights Over Canada

This is amazing!  The video comes from the Telegraph:

This geomagnetic storm was captured on camera from an aeroplane flying east over Canada on Tuesday.

Geomagnetic storms produce “auroral currents” known as “northern lights.”

PSALMS 11:1

In the Lord put I my trust; how say ye to my soul,
Flee as a bird to your mountain?

PSALMS 36:6

Thy righteousness is like the great mountain;
thy judgments are a great deep:
O Lord, thou preservest man and beast.

PSALMS 65:6

Which by his strength setteth fast the mountains;
being girded with power.

PSALMS 76:4

Thou art more glorious and excellent
than mountains of prey.

PSALMS 87:1

His foundation is in the holy mountains.

PSALMS 90:2

Before the mountains were brought forth,
or ever thou hadst formed the earth and the world,
even from everlasting to everlasting,
thou art God.

PSALMS 104:6 & 8

Thou coveredst it with the deep as with a garment;
the waters stood above the mountains.
They go up by the mountains;
they go down by the valleys unto the place which
thou hast founded for them.

PSALMS 125:1 & 2

They that trust in the Lord shall be as mount Zion,
which cannot be removed, but abideth for ever.
As the mountains are round about Jerusalem,
so the Lord is round about his people from
henceforth even for ever.

PSALMS 133:3

As the dew of Hermon,
and as the dew that descended upon
the mountains of Zion;
for there the Lord commanded the blessing,
even life for evermore.

Autumn: God is Good!

A prayer of Pope John Paul II:

O God, You are our Creator.
You are good and Your mercy knows no bounds.

To You arises the praise of every creature.
O God, You have given us an inner law by which we must live.

To do Your will is our task.
To follow Your ways is to know peace of heart.

To You we offer our homage.
Guide us on all the paths we travel upon this earth.

Free us from all the evil tendencies which lead our hearts away from Your will.

Never allow us to stray from You.
O God, judge of all humankind, help us to be included among Your chosen ones on the last day.

O God, Author of peace and justice, give us true joy and authentic love, and a lasting solidarity among peoples.

Give us Your everlasting gifts. Amen!

May the God of mercy, the God of love, the God of peace bless each of you and all the members of your families!
