Carthusian Chant

The sole purpose of the Carthusian way is CONTEMPLATION: by the power of the Spirit, live as continually as possible in the light of God's love for us in Christ. This requires us purity of heart, or charity: "Blessed are the pure in heart for they shall see God." (Matthew 5:8) Monastic tradition also calls this goal pure and continuous prayer.

Today is day 2 of my retreat. Please say a prayer for me and know that I am praying for all those who read this blog!
